Ever since Megan could pronounce the word “chartreuse,” she’s been obsessed with color. So obsessed, in fact, that she spent 27 years proudly strutting through life as a True Spring—thanks to a color analysis mishap. With her wardrobe full of warm, splashy hues and even a stint as a strawberry blonde (yes, she dyed her hair to match!), Megan was convinced she had her colors all figured out. That is, until she learned the true science of color analysis and discovered she was actually a True Summer! Cue the great closet purge—goodbye oranges, beloved corals, and golds; hello cool blues, dusty pinks, and silvers.
Today, Megan (located in Columbus, OH), trained by the International Image Institute and a proud member of the AICI, channels her color epiphany into helping others avoid a similar fate. As The Color Countess, she uses her superpower to guide clients toward their perfect, Iconic Colors, leaving a trail of well-dressed color converts in her wake.

No, your season stays the same because it’s based on your skin tone, and your natural hair color. If your hair is dyed, during your analysis, we’ll cover your hair to ensure the most accurate results, but afterward, we can also discuss hair colors that align with your palette if you’re considering a change.
No, your color palette remains constant. Tan is an overtone, not an undertone, so it’s not assessed in the analysis. However, each season includes a range of lighter and darker shades, so you might feel more drawn to one end of that spectrum as your skin tone changes with the seasons. For example, when you’re tanner, you might find the bolder colors in your palette feel more fitting, while the lighter shades complement you best when your skin is lighter.
Not at all! If your hair has naturally grayed or whitened, those shades are part of your natural color harmony. Your season will still complement your skin and hair, and in fact, gray or white hair often works beautifully with a seasonal palette, highlighting its sophisticated and timeless quality.

Those older methods may not account for neutral undertones, which could mean you weren’t given the most accurate results. You can absolutely still wear black! If it’s not part of your color palette, we’ll explore ways to balance it with complementary colors through your hair, accessories, jewelry and makeup to create harmony and maintain your best look
